Music Review: Hungry Ghosts by Lewis Stevenson

Artist: Lewis Stevenson

Song: Hungry Ghosts

Sounds like:  Indie – Folk, think Badly Drawn Boy

Perfect for: A cosy afternoon in a country pub, by a fire, and a nice glass of red wine or craft beer, you know… chilling.

‘Hungry Ghosts’ by Lewis Stevenson is a tonic for the ears. It’s soft, lilting melody guided by Lewis’ gravelly vocals is a joy to sink into, especially when it all feels a bit too much going on outside. Cosy up with a blanket and a hot cup of tea or something stronger if that’s your thing and soak it in. A song about not knowing how it will all pan out is a universal topic we can all get on board with It might hurt like hell | But it could serve you well never a truer word spoken. Ultimately the message is to water our own roots first. We all need a little self-care now and again and this track embodies self-care perfectly. Go listen.

As a musician myself (listen here to my latest release), I totally understand how important getting feedback is and how hard it can to get people to listen to your music.
