Reviewing people’s music requires an open mind and being receptive to genres you might pass over. Meanue’s ‘It’s Ok Peace’ is one such submission I was a little nervous to review as I admit, my knowledge of this genre is limited but I’m open to everything musically and felt it only fair to give it a spin and see. I was pleasantly surprised! Yes it’s “screamy” as the artist forewarned me when he submitted his link, but it’s also really melodic, emotionally charged and well produced. The narrative is best delivered through the layered vocals which make this song texturally interesting to listen to and on repeated listens, you pick up on details you’ve previously missed. I bet it would be a fantastic track to hear live and exorcise any built up tension. It’s great, go listen!
