Music Review: Movement In Time by John Blanco-Slingerland

Artist: John Blanco-Slingerland

Song: Movement In Time

Sounds like:  Longwave without the vocals

Perfect for: Wandering around the city in the rain being all moody and melancholic

On first listen, I immediately thought of my favourite film soundtrack (Lost In Translation) and felt ‘Movement in Time’ by John Blanco-Slingerland would fit in quite nicely with the collection of songs on that album. The instrumental, fuzzy guitar driven, hazy jane kinda vibe is a joy to get lost in. Think brooding looks, leather jackets and Malboro reds* and you’re somewhere close to what this track embodies. It’s effortlessly cool. Go listen!

*I’m not advocating smoking by the way, we all know it’s bad for your health.

As a musician myself (listen here to my latest release), I totally understand how important getting feedback is and how hard it can to get people to listen to your music. Whether you are a budding musician just starting out or a seasoned name on the scene, if you're looking for a review, send your links here.
